Uncover championship-level plays from your rack
About Scrabble Pro Solver
The Scrabble Pro Solver is built for competitive players who want to sharpen their game. Enter up to 15 tiles from your rack (including blanks) and the solver will cross-reference every valid combination against tournament-grade word lists, ranking results by point value so you can identify the strongest move on the board.
Scrabble Letter Point Values
Tournament Strategy Fundamentals
- Rack balance: Keep a healthy mix of vowels and consonants (roughly 3:4). Dump duplicates early to maintain flexibility for future draws.
- Bingo preparation: Hold high-frequency stems like -ING, -TION, -NESS, -IEST, -ATED. Keeping SATINE or RETINA on your rack dramatically increases bingo odds.
- Board control: Open the board when ahead, close it when behind. Avoid creating parallel lanes to triple-word squares for your opponent.
- Endgame counting: Track the remaining tiles. In the final turns, knowing what your opponent holds lets you block their high-value plays.
- Blank tile discipline: Blanks are worth 30+ points on average. Never waste them on short words unless you are securing a bingo or a game-winning play.
- Hook plays: Extend existing words with a single letter (e.g., adding S, D, R, or RE- prefix) to score on two words simultaneously.
Essential Two-Letter Words
Two-letter words are the backbone of competitive Scrabble. They let you play parallel to existing words for massive combination scores. Memorize these power pairs: QI (11 pts), ZA (11 pts), XI (9 pts), XU (9 pts), JO (9 pts), AX (9 pts), EX (9 pts), OX (9 pts)
Supported Word Lists
The Pro Solver includes multiple tournament-standard dictionaries. Scrabble-US uses the NWL (NASPA Word List) recognized by North American tournaments. Scrabble-UK uses the Collins Scrabble Words (CSW) list accepted in international play, which includes approximately 50,000 additional entries. Switch dictionaries in the Search Options panel.
